Gambit Chess makes it easy to share a board with someone you know. Open a table, send an invitation and enjoy a game in your browser.
Start with a link
Choose a table on the play page and share its invitation through your own messaging app. Your friend opens the link to take the other seat. Keep invitation links private: the first eligible player to accept an available invitation can join.
Guest play and registered accounts
You can join a friendly game without registering. Guest seats are remembered in the browser used to join, so clearing browser storage or switching devices may lose access. An account connects eligible games and history to your sign-in. A private invitation is still worth protecting when you have an account.
Play fairly, learn steadily
Chess rewards patience as much as calculation. Take a moment to check threats, protect your king and look at your opponent's reply. Agree with your friend before using outside assistance. Platform-provided computer opponents are identified as computers; a platform skill category is a progress indicator, not an official chess title.
How the site is supported
Advertising may help support the service when it is enabled and the applicable privacy requirements are met. Playing never requires clicking an advertisement. Advertisements must remain separate from the board and game controls.
